Wednesday, December 08, 2004 Read it while it's still free: the article Superheroes Minus Masks, among other things, codes the secret identity of superheroes as an in-the-closet metaphor. X2, among others, doesn't exactly dissuade this theory. Certainly anyone who's read Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay would agree. But I've always thought that was a little simplistic; the reason I'm drawn to superheroes is because of power, and the potential within us all, bigger than any of the bullshit. So, you know.
